Alarm.com Cameras & Recorders require a minimum UPLOAD SPEED of 2.5 Mbps per camera 2.0 Mbps for a SVR recorder and 2.5 Mbps for the doorbell camera.
Example: If you have 1-SVR Recorder + 2-Cameras + 1-Doorbell Camera then you will need a minimum of 8.5 Mbps as an Upload speed for them to work properly.
How to check the internet speed by doing a speed test.
- Make sure that your connected to your home or business internet via a hardwired connection and or a Wi-Fi connection. This test can be done from most any smart device so long as its connected to the home or business internet connection. If your using your cell phone then make sure your on the wife and turn your cell connection off.
- Google Internet speed test and you any site similar to the site used in this example. https://www.speedtest.net/.
- One your on the site then clock Start or Go to start the test.
- Take note of the Upload Speed Results. Mbps
